Free & Universal

1. Zero-Server Computing Architecture

At Calculator.boats, we believe that your personal health metrics, confidential salary numbers, loan balances, and generated passwords belong exclusively to you. Unlike traditional web applications that transmit form data to external backend servers for processing, all calculations on Calculator.boats are executed 100% locally in your web browser (client-side) using native JavaScript.

When you input your income into our salary calculator, enter loan details into our EMI calculator, or create passwords with our password generator, that numerical data never traverses the internet, is never transmitted to our servers, and is never logged in any remote database.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To provide complete transparency, we explicitly declare that we do NOT collect, harvest, monetize, or sell:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your legal name, physical address, phone number, or social security numbers.
  • Financial data (loan amounts, account balances, salary figures, investment amounts, tax brackets).
  • Biometric and health data (body weight, BMI, body fat percentages, pregnancy dates, medical histories).
  • Generated cryptographic keys or passwords.

3. Local Storage & Cookies

Calculator.boats uses minimal local browser storage strictly to preserve your user experience preferences:

  • Theme Preferences (Dark/Light Mode): Saved in your browser's localStorage so your theme choice persists between visits.
  • Calculator History: In calculators supporting calculation history (such as the scientific calculator), records are stored locally in your browser memory and cleared when you click 'Clear History' or empty your browser cache.
  • No Tracking Cookies: We do not place third-party tracking cookies or cross-site tracking beacons.

4. Server Log Data

Like virtually all standard web servers, our hosting infrastructure automatically records non-identifiable technical diagnostic logs when pages are requested. These records include standard internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser user agent strings, referring URLs, and timestamps. These logs are used solely for server performance monitoring, DDoS mitigation, and ensuring uptime.

5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Because Calculator.boats does not store or process personal data on remote servers, visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA under GDPR) and California (under CCPA/CPRA) enjoy automatic privacy by design. There is no personal database to request erasure from, as your calculation data remains inside your own device.

6. Contact Regarding Privacy Inquiries

If you have any questions or security inquiries regarding our privacy standards, please reach out to our privacy compliance team via our contact page or email us at [email protected].
